Kish to Host Hotel Management Seminar
Kish Island in the Persian Gulf will host the International Seminar on Hotel Management in the Third Millennium during Feb.20-21, 2010. Assadollah Karimi, Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization, said Iranian and international hotel managers will discuss new developments in the industry during the seminar.

90% Growth in Chabahar Free Zone
Mahammad Taher Baqerizadeh, Managing Director of Chabahar Free Zone, stated that the indexes of activities were 90% up against the last year’s corresponding period. According to public relations of Chabahar Free Trade-Industrial Zone, despite increase of expenses up to 41%, the revenues of the organization showed 60% growth that resulted in more improvements in development and infrastructural plans.

Bunkering Operation Onset in Qeshm
The Managing Director of Refining and Distribution of Oil Products announced the onset of bunkering operations in Qeshm. Nour-aldin Shahbazizadeh stated in this regard, “Presently, bunkering operation is being done in Assalouyeh, Bandar-Abbass, Khark and Mahshahr Islands. A domestic consortium has won the tender for doing the operations and in near future fueling the ships will be operated in Chabahar.

Foreign Transit from Anzali Free Zone, 337% Increase
Deputy and member of the managing board of Anzali Free Zone announced 337 percent growth rate of transit via this free zone. Abdolazim Bazgir stated in this regard that the highest volume of transited goods in the first 6 months of the current year was imported and exported via Anzali Free Zone to Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Romania, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Emirates.

The head of Health, Immunity and Environment Section of Pars Special Economic Zone announced, “After two days of examining, the activities of the health, immunity and environment managers were approved as being in conformity with requirements of HSE-MS managing system by the assessors of BUREAU VERITAS Company.
